PENTRAETH CAR PARK – COCH Y MIERI
Walk downhill out of the car park along the lane. Cross the
river Nodwydd
and turn right along a track. Follow this track down towards the sea. Note the interesting old
tower
on the way down. Coming out on the beach turn right and go over the bridge to meet a lane. Turn right and shortly left by a phone box. Follow the lane right up to the end, passing a driveway going off left. At a junction of tracks head left along a driveway. Follow this track to the end. Proceed through a number of fields running parallel with the coast to come out at
Coch y Mieri
farm.
COCH Y MIERI – LLANDDONA VILLAGE
Walk down the drive and turn right up the lane. Just before
Wern hall
turn left down a track past some houses, cross a stream into a wooded area. After a short distance, bear right out of the wood and go up over some scrubland. Negotiating several stiles go up over a steep hill, through some wet ground up to a stone stile and way-marker. Bear left, joining a track, past the
mast
down to
Llanddona village
. You can find refreshments in Llanddona as well as a telephone box, post box and bus stop.
LLANDDONA VILLAGE – PENTRAETH
Re-trace your steps from the village back to the mast. Pass through the little gate by the
mast
, then bear right down the field to a kissing gate. Follow the path and you will come out on a lane. Turn right. Presently turn left down a farm driveway. Walk past
Bryn-castell
and join a grassy track down to a field. Proceed across the next two fields to a kissing gate just left of
Hafotty
farmyard. Keep heading in the same direction across two more fields. Pass over a stile and then turn right along a path to
Rhos farm
. From Rhos farm keep heading in the same direction back towards the forest. You will cross a river and then proceed uphill. Keep on up the forest track to a T-junction. Turn left along the forest road, then right onto a forest path. You will come out of the forest to join a track. Keep heading downhill, and eventually you will join the road that you started on. Walk to the end, turn right by the phone box, then left and over the bridge. Walk along the shore, then turn left by the house and up the road. Follow the path back along the valley to
