Coarse fishing waters

Popular venues for coarse fishing angling include Llyn Bodafon , located on the north-east side of Anglesey. this former rudd fishery now boasts quality perch and tench.

fishery at Llandegfan caters for all the coarse anglers with a variety of pools offering sport for the specimen carp angler, the match angler, or the coarse angler out for a day's pleasure fishing.

Other accessible waters include the Holyhead and District Angling Club's Cwm Reservoir on Holy Island, Llyn Maelog and Ty Hen at Rhosneigr, Llyn Alaw in the centre of Anglesey (which is a stocked trout fishery but does contain excellent stocks of large rudd), and Tyddyn Sargent near Benllech.

Many of the other lakes and pools are rich and fertile lowland lakes offering excellent sport from a variety of fish. Some of the waters not available for angling still retain a stock of quality coarse fish which are of great benefit to Anglesey's abundant wildlife.
