Cwm Reservoir

Description

Carp, rudd, bream, perch, roach and tench are stocked in this two-acre reservoir situated near the picturesque South Stack landmark. The lake, only a short trip from Holyhead town centre, makes for a peaceful and pleasant day's fishing.

Directions

Along the A5 and through the Port traffic lights at Holyhead for the town centre. Left after traffic lights at the Cenotaph into the one-way system. Keep to the left lane at the fork in the road and bear left. Turn left opposite the Cambria public house for Llaingoch and South Stack. After a 1/4 mile the turning into the entrance is on the right after Twr Farm.

Season and cost

Open all year round, with fishing allowed from dawn to dusk.

Day: £3.50.

Annual membership of the Holyhead and District Angling Club is available from £15.00.

Permits and Restrictions

Permits available from:

Tackle Bar shop, William Street, Holyhead.

No barbed hooks allowed.

No bag limit.

Anglers must hold an Environment Agency Rod License.

Catch limits

There is a bag limit of 6 fish per permit, and a size limit of 10 inches.
