Lastra Farm Hotel

Lastra Farm Hotel, opened 20 years ago, is situated ½ mile from the historic town of Amlwch, and the famous Parys Mountain. This 17th Century original farmhouse is open for lunches and dinner and also caters for wedding receptions, banquets, and conferences in its Parys Suite - a purpose built conservatory reception area. Steeped in history, this delightful country hotel offers something for everyone. All bedrooms are en-suite and the restaurant has a reputation for serving only the finest cuisine.

Steak Bodafon.
Serves two:
2x 8oz. Sirloin Steaks
3oz. Grated Welsh farmhouse cheddar
1 Leek
Half pint Bordelaise sauce (gravy)
1 tsp Tomato purée
Half glass of port

Trim the steaks if required and cut a small pocket at one side. Stuff with grated cheese and sautéed leek. Place steak on baking tray and grill both sides according to taste. Place the sauce in thick-bottomed pan and whisk in tomato purée, bring to boil.
Add the port, simmer gently and correct seasoning. Coat the steak with sauce, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
