Although she originally trained as a teacher she feels that the "confines of the National Curriculum" did not provide the time and resources that the children needed to mature their innate abilities. It is with this in mind that she now collaborates with another local artist, David Chambers , to provide art workshops where children of all ages may feel free to enjoy themselves, unhampered by structured lessons, within the intimacy and atmosphere of an art gallery.

Jenny's own introduction to the world of art was through the art history section of an encyclopaedia. Study of the techniques and subject matter or old and modern painters early in life led to a development of her own individual style.
