Wildlifewatchdogs in Anglesey are mounting a major initiative to try andsave the Red Squirrel, once common on the island, fromextinction.
Its future on the island could depend on the work of a band oforganisations which make up The Anglesey Red Squirrel Project.Committee chaired by Lady Anglesey.
Members include The Countryside Council for Wales, North WalesWildlife Trust, Bangor University, The National Trust, Esme KirbySnowdonia Trust, Welsh Mountain Zoo, Farmers union of Wales,National farmers union and Menter Môn, Forestry Commission.
