Virginia learnt to spin when she moved to the beautiful Island of Anglesey in 1984. She then taught herself to weave and now wonders why it took so long for her to find this - her natural occupation.

Virginia's workshop looks out over unspoilt farmland, West to the Irish Sea and East to the Mountains of Snowdonia. It is from these rich images that she draws her inspiration for the exquisite, individually designed garments which she weaves entirely by hand.

All the processes, from the selection of the finest yarns, some of which are handspun, to the designing, weaving and finishing are carried out by Virginia herself.

Virginia now has a variety of types and sizes of looms which enable her to accept commissions of all kinds. She is also planning to run basic weaving courses for small numbers of people at the weekends, starting in September, 2000. Virginia also teaches handspinning on a one to one basis.
