Bridgid has recently worked at the Oriel Ynys Môn where she ran mask-making workshops as part of the Ynys Môn Arts for All festival. Her recent work includes painted furniture and interior design.
Originally a pupil at David Hughes County Secondary School, Menai Bridge, Bridgid later trained at Loughborough College of Art and Design, successfully completing a one-year foundation course, and went on to complete a B.A. (Honours) Fine Art degree at Liverpool Polytechnic, where her subsidiary subjects were Art History, Film, Photography, Printing. Awards and achievements 1975: Cyril Lloyd Art Prize (school award for merit). 1978: Painting hung in Stowells Trophy Exhibition, Royal Academy, London Saxon Barton Prize, Royal Cambrian Academy, Conwy. Two works hung in Summer Exhibition, Royal Cambrian Academy, Conwy, Windsor & Newton Student Drawing Competition, Special Purchase Prize. 1979: Painting hung in Stowells Trophy Exhibition, Royal Academy, London. 1980: Two paintings hung in student exhibition, Abercrombie House, Liverpool. 1981: Exhibition in Theatr Gwynedd, Bangor: "A Woman's Eye". 1982: Two works hung in Summer Exhibition, Royal Cambrian Academy, Conwy. 1982-98: Community based arts projects. |
