Deputy Director and Creative Arts Tutor at the Conway Centre, Llanfairpwll, Joan developed an interest in drama through her BA studies in Sociology and Literature. Before working on Ynys Môn she worked with the Cheshire based 'Action Transport' TIE company on equal opportunities issues.

Her 'cross-creative' arts projects include: buffon/neutral mask work, large and small scale puppetry, textiles and batik. "Sometimes I see myself as a playful anarchist helping young people to find a new creative form to express themselves. I'm particularly inspired when introducing masks into my work".
