Seven Castles of WalesCharity Bicycle Ride
On The 24th and 25th May this year four ridersfrom Beaumaris, led by one of our local Doctor's, are planning tocycle from Cardiff Castle via Caerphilly, Aberystwyth, Harlech,Dolbadarn and Caernarfon to Beaumaris, a total of 214 miles to becovered in two days. They intend raising money for the CancerResearch Campaign - Cymru Wales .
The Cancer Research Campaign is the largest charity in the UK, and is 75 years old this year.It funds four times more research than the Government's Medicalresearch Council. The Cancer Research Campaign funds projectsmost likely to achieve cures for cancer and it is supportingseveral in Wales at this moment. Cancer affects 1 in 3 people soplease would you help them raise money for this worth whilecause.
As Mayor of Beaumaris, the Mayoress and Iintend to accompany the riders, along their route. It is for thisreason that I ask for your assistance. If you could assist withthe collection, I would be very grateful. The distance that hasto be covered each day would mean a stop of no more than tenminutes, I am sure you would agree that ten minutes is a veryshort time to give up, but it would mean a great deal to theriders. It is intended that any money raised on route, would beall be donated to Cancer Research Campaign - Cymru Wales .
The presentation of a cheque would be made atBeaumaris.
