Supporting sections in the site give details about airports and also resort information; although this is fairly basic, you can also supplement it by using the site's bookstore to get more information. The one drawback is that the details don't include the name of the carrier or holiday company, which might be relevant in some circumstances. This online rail timetable gives you times, connections, etc for any rail journey you care to specify in GB. This is London (Evening Standard Online) www.thisislondon.co.uk The online version of the London daily, this site also contains an immense amount of information about travelling around London, events that are on, and tourist attractions in general. There is a very good section focussing on children's London, which would be well worth a look before you get on the train with your brood.
