Healthwatch

This is a new initiative beingpiloted at present by the Anglesey CHC in the Holyhead area.

Volunteers are invited to join agroup who have an interest in health matters to discuss howexisting services are working, what improvements might besuggested, and what gaps in services have been identified.Meetings are held at least once a month.

Members can also be informed aboutthe Health Service generally, and there will be opportunities forall concerned to learn from each other.

Any conclusions, backed wherepossible by sound substantive evidence (perhaps by means ofresearch carried out by the group) will be fed to the Trusts andHealth Authority, with the object of influencing change andbringing about improvements in services wherever possible.
