The Gwynedd Hospitals NHS Trust was establishedon the 1st April, 1994, and comprises Ysbyty Gwynedd andLlandudno General Hospital.

The Trust employs over 2,000 staff, has an incomeof £65 million and treats over 250,000 patients each year. Inaddition to the full range of services provided at its hospitals,the Trust also provides some community services, such asmidwifery, and the medical staff undertake clinics at communityhospitals and health centres.

The purpose and mission of the Trust is todeliver high quality, cost effective, patient-centred health carewith appropriately trained staff, who, together with patients andfamily, are respected as individuals. The Trust is led by aBoard, comprising of a Chairman, 5 Non-Executive Directors and 5Executive Directors. The Trust is committed to the principle thatin the conduct of its business, it will treat the Welsh andEnglish language on the basis of equality.
