Llyn Cefni |
Description
A 175-acre reservoir, Llyn Cefni is stocked prior to the season with 1,000 brown trout, between 11 and 13 inches long, and 1,000 rainbow trout over 1lb. A further 2,000 rainbows are stocked as the season progresses to ensure everyone has a sporting chance. this fly-fishing lake has been run by Cefni Angling Association since 1952, and the record catch is 7lb for a brown trout and 6 lb for a rainbow.

Directions
Take the A5 Expressway across Anglesey to Llangefni. Then take the B5109 towards Bodfordd. After approximately two miles turn right, signposted "Welsh Water - Cefni Treatment Works". Follow the road to the reservoir.

Season from 20 March to 17 October for all trout.
Season: adult: £95.00; senior citizen: £70.00; junior: £20.00.
Week: £33.00.
Day: £10.00.

Maximum size 8 long shank hook. Tandems are not allowed, and double hooks must be a size 12 or smaller.
Catch limits
There is a bag limit of 6 fish per permit, and a size limit of 10 inches.

Car parking is 200 yards away by the Waterworks.
14 rowing boats from 10-12 foot are available to hire.
